‘Shadow and Bone' in portraits
At the end of 2022 I was going through a major creative rut, and nothing seemed to change for months. I decided to tackle this by starting a passion project and drew the characters of Shadow and Bone. Shadow and Bone is a fantasy trilogy written by Leigh Bardugo, and it remains one of my favourite series to this day.

Stories of the Storm
In 2019 I collaborated with children’s psychologist and sand-play therapist Inese Abola to create illustrations for fairytales written by children during their sessions with Inese. She uses the sand-play therapy method to encourage children to create their own worlds in a sandbox and then to tell stories of what unfolds in these worlds they have created. She would then write these stories down, and I would illustrate them. I found reading these tales absolutely fascinating and full of magic and joy; it was an honour to illustrate them.
This project was included in Marine Biennal 2019 and exhibited in Vaivari Rehabilitation centre’s children’s floor.
